Had the kona coffee fudge ice cream, absolutely amazingly delicious. Husband had the chocolate fudge ice cream. I don&#39;t know what one I liked better, I wish I could eat all of the flavors.

We loved the Maui location and wanted to try the original. Food, people and location were all terrific. A highlight of our trip for sure.

love their salad and piZZA. The kitchen staff is always saying hello when you walk in and they seem happy!

The meal was amazing, the portion was easily enough for two (one and a half) meals via doggy bag. The pancakes were flavorful and the haupia syrup incredibly aromatic.

The menu features a variety of food. Don&rsquo;t expect a ton of choices in the following categories but you can expect your choice to be quality and delicious. The burgers are fantastic.

Delicious and fresh local food for lunch! The plates are generous and there is a large selection for every taste and diet.

When a small ice cream shop in an Island gets mentioned in Lonely Planet and Fodor&#39;s you know it&#39;s bound to be great. And it was! We visited the small shop at their factory just outside the town of Waimea along Hawaii Belt Road and tried the vanilla and mango - both of which tasted out of this world. There are numerous other flavors (coconut and kona coffee are highly recommended). The tiny shop does not have a lot of room, there was no one to attend to us when we arrived and the display freezer did not even have all the samples. But all these were minor inconveniences considering how the ice cream tasted. Not to mention the $7 we paid for the two 8oz cups - which probably makes this the cheapest delicacy in the entire island. This is a must visit if you love ice-cream. There are a few other outlets as well in the island where Tropical Dreams is sold including one at Kona International Airport.

I don&#39;t know why this ice cream is so much better than most! It is creamy rich and has great flavor. I like the vanilla most of all and that is not true of other ice cream.

Tropical dreams is a great place to purchase ice cream of a wide wide range of flavor and now a variety of sizes. We purchase at the 1/2 gallon size and enjoy and sample the fun varity of flavors. If you local guests, mainland company or family favorites you can not miss with a ice cream or gelato choices. Tahitian vanilla is a mainstay.
